ABOUT ME
Originally born in Cincinnati Ohio, I moved with my family to Clarksville, Tennessee in 1995 where my dad would teach Creative Writing at Austin Peay State University. In Tennessee I would grow to have many interests, picking up the violin at age 6, the trumpet at age 11, and the playing around with the guitar and the piano.
Tennessee is picaresque countryside and we took full advantage of it, traipsing through the woods and boating the rivers. Around the Christmas Holiday, we would go to Florida and kayak on the ocean, pictured left. A profound love of nature and the outdoors follows me to this day.

THE VIOLIN
I started playing the violin at age 6, and found that I enjoyed the music and the challenge of the instrument.
I took lessons until the age of 16 and played in small groups, ensembles, and finally the Austin Peay State University Symphony Orchestra. In the Orchestra we played Beethoven, Dvorak, Smetna, Shostakovich and others under the direction of Tanya Simons, Greg Wolynec, and others.
It was a great experience and I toyed with the idea of being a orchestra musician.
Today, the violin is a passionate hobby of mine and I enjoy having jam sessions with friends and other opportunities to play music.

BAND
In school, I was the proverbial band geek, playing in the Concert Band, Symphonic Band, and Jazz Band in Middle School, and the Concert Band, Marching Band, and Jazz Band in High School.
I played the trumpet in the band, and would play solos, and in ensembles, in Honor Bands and parades.
I was Vice President and President of the Band in High School and perhaps would have gone on to a musical career... but I had already fallen in love with the theatre.

Dinosaurs
Like every good boy, I have loved dinosaurs my whole life. When other kids were watching cartoons, I was busy watching Walter Cronkite Specials on the dinosaurs from the local library.
I had many plastic dinosaurs of my own and began to create elaborate tales about their lives and adventures. This love of creation would feed into my love of the theatre.
In high school, we would travel out west and see some of the great dinosaur exhibits and museums in Wyoming and other states with large finds. I was ecstatic.

Travel
I love to travel, with more destinations appearing on my wish-list by the minute. Some of my favorite places are Paris, Monaco, London, and Yellowstone National Park. I believe in the truly global world in which we live and that no part of it can be ignored. The next great adventure in the story of humanity is the culture bridge. Some of the greatest stories on earth are at the intersections of two distinct cultures. I want to be a part of the stories and to tell them.
Perhaps from another perspective we can see global story-telling as peace-making. Story-telling is political, global, and absolutely essential. And it can't be done without seeing the globe.

The university of tennessee
In college I would go for theatre whole hog.
In 4 years, I was President of All Campus Theatre for 2 years, directed my own play, directed performances for charity events for the University and for local area non-profits, as well as appearing in many plays as an actor.
I know I want to do more of all that.

My last semester of school I spent 4 months in China, traveling and exploring a culture about as foreign from my own as I could imagine.
Most of my time was spent on the coast in city called Ningbo, which is just south of Shang'hai. I visited many other parts of the country, but left much unseen due to the enormity of the country.
The lessons I learned about myself, I am still discovering.

The story from here...
I can't wait to see what the next chapter unfolds. I know there are many more exciting adventures and great accomplishments in this story. Is it with you?
